My New Organic Miracle Hair Mask for Dry Frizzy Hair

As you guys know I try out MANY different natural stuff just to see if they work good or not and I only review the stuff that are not just good but EXCELLENT. And honestly, this is one of those reviews.
My hair is naturally curly so yes it tends to get frizzy and dry if I don't take care of it.
So here is something that made a HUGE difference in my hair texture and look :)...

The miracle is (drum-roll)............... SHEA BUTTER
Yes guys believe it or not.
And after explaining about the whole process I am going to give you guys a link of website in the end where you can buy ANY natural products for a REALLY cheap price and they are organic as far as I know.

What to Do?

  • So depending on the length of your hair take some Shea butter and put it in a bowl.
  • Its easier to apply it when it is liquid so I put it in microwave and melted it.
  • Make sure its warm NOT hot because this will open up your hair cuticles and the product with be absorbed in hair shaft effectively.
  • Massage it in scalp and apply to the ends. This is like a hot oil treatment and REALLY nourishing for hair.
  • I kept this overnight and washed it away in the morning.

After my hair was dry I could not stop feeling my hair because it was SUPER SOFT. Like a Miracle!
During the 2nd and 3rd day without washing hair, I noticed that my hair didn't get frizzy at all.
My hair in winter is like a frizz ball sometimes so when I go out in winter I HAVE TO keep my hair up but this week my hair was as soft and un-frizzy as never it had been before.

I really recommend this product :)

Pros:

  1. Great Hair Mask
  2. I also noticed that when I used it as a moisturiser for a week, my skin was a lot firmer. I am not sure why but it happened :)
  3. If you have rough/black knees then this will help you
  4. This is a Multi Task Product basically and so saves LOTS of money
  5. It is sooooooooo cheap. Anyone can afford it.

Cons:

  1. Because the product is 100% natural, no perfumes or anything is added and so the smell isn't really bad but isn't really pleasant as well.
Here is the website I got the product from: E-Natural.Com

Yup that is true.

Quick Natural Tip for Frizzy Hair That Promotes Hair Growth As Well

I use this trick most of the times in winter. My hair looks great when I am in the house but as soon I leave the house in freezing cold weather and reach school, my hair has already turned into a frizz ball. So to avoid this MAJOR life problem please continue reading and find out what I do NATURALLY to tame the frizz...

All You Need:

Coconut Oil
or
Moroccan Oil

I wash my hair as usual and the next morning when I am about to go school, I take about a dollop of Coconut oil and apply to the lengths of my hair.
My hair is naturally curly and dry so this tip works the BEST for me.
If you have straight and oily hair, you can use Moroccan oil instead of coconut oil.
I have heard many YouTube beauty gurus use Moroccan oil as an anti-frizz serum and they rave about it so much.

Coconut oil makes my hair look healthy shiny.
It promotes hair growth and that is why I have really long hair.
When people ask me about how I grow my hair so long, I tell them Coconut oil is the only way.
I will post a photo of me below and you can see the length of my hair. In the picture I have coconut oil on so you can go ahead and judge if it looks too oily or healthy shiny.

Let me know what you think of the tip and your experience :)

Best Hair Product Review

I have used this product for almost 2 years now and it is the BESTEST thing ever. And another thing is that it is not even expensive at all. It was around €3-5. Sorry I don't remember the exact price. Its like a multi task product.
So it is a Anti- frizz serum AND a heat protectant so you don't have to load your hair with products.

Its called Wella Shockwaves Style Serum and below are its pictures.
It has kind of a watery-gel like consistency (you can see in the last picture).
It is really light weight so it doesn't weigh my hair down at all.
It makes my hair look so healthy and I always get compliments when I apply this.
It has UV Protection.
It has conditioning formula with Vitamin B5.
So many advantages in one :O Now you can see why I realllyyyyy like this.
This product has saved my hair-life because my hair used to be sooooo dry until I found this :)

You can buy this online if you don't get this in American Drugstores. It totally worth it for €3-5.
I am NOT sponsoring this product at all. I never have done that. This is my HONEST opinion and I love it :)

Take Care.

DIY: Body Sugaring to Remove Body Hair from Roots

Helloo Girls! So a few days back I posted Ancient Egyptian Beauty Secrets where I mentioned about Body Sugaring. I couldn't fully explain about Body Sugaring in that post because it'd take really long. So I am making a separate post for that.

A lot of Egyptian and Indian women used this Body Sugaring technique to remove hair from the roots. They had a lot of problems from lice so they preferred to keep themselves hair-less. They even shaved their heads and wore a wig instead to avoid lice. Read more how to remove body hair from the roots with this technique...
This is very similar to waxing except this is a natural approach.

All you Need:

1 cup Sugar
Juice from one half Lemon
1 cup Honey

A Popsicle stick or a Spatula
Cotton Fabric Strips (You can use old jeans fabric and cut it into strips).

Directions:

1.     Mix all the ingredient in a sauce pan and turn on the heat to medium.
2.     Once it starts boiling turn the heat to low and start stirring.
3.     Turn off the heat after 2 mins of stirring and let it sit until it gets warm enough to touch.
4.     Please be careful here and make sure you don't get burnt by the hot mixture :)

How to Apply:

1.     Dust your skin with talc powder or cornstarch. This will prevent the paste from sticking to your skin.
2.     Use the popsicle stick or spatula to apply the paste in direction of hair growth.
3.     Cover the applied paste with cotton/ jeans strips and rub the fabric in direction of hair growth.
4.     Hold the skin tight and pull the strip off in opposite direction of hair growth.

And that's it :) I told you its very similar to waxing except the paste is home made.
Let me know how it worked for you :)

13 Ancient Egyptian Beauty Secrets

I did a post before on Ancient Ayurvedic (Indian) Secrets. And this is the second on on Egyptian. I absolutely LOVE searching for Ancient Secrets and not just for Beauty purpose but also because I think Historic stuff is really reliable than nowadays. I can trust the historic beauty recipes rather than today's lotions and potions. And we all know the reason why :)

When we think of Egypt, Cleopatra comes in our mind first. The woman who is an iconic symbol of Beauty. She wrote books on Beauty Secrets she found throughout her life. Things like Exfoliants, Eye Creams, Hair Extensions are all coming from Ancient Egypt. But they were pure and natural in those times unlike now. So keep on reading to reveal those secrets...

Secrets Revealed:

  • Many Egyptian women used Sea Salt from The Dead Sea. Cleopatra used this salt in her bath. This Sea Salt was a skin rejuvenator and it combats skin problems like eczema and psoriasis. I did a blog post on DIY: Pure Sea Salt Facial Toner and I absolutely love it :)
  • The combination of Milk and Honey was really popular as a face mask or body wash. I use honey with cinnamon so I might give this a try too.
  • A hair mask was made with Coconut Milk and warm Extra Virgin Olive Oil to strengthen and condition hair. It sounds so luxurious <3
  • Aloe Vera played a HUGE part in Egyptian and Indian beauty routines. It was used for skin, hair, healing burns etc... This ingredient was like All in 1 ingredient. And I absolutely agree. They even ate it  sometimes to improve digestion and lose weight.
  • Avocado was used to reduce the puffiness under eyes.
  • A technique called Body Sugaring was used to remove Body Hair. It removed the hair from roots and when it grows back, there will be less of it and it will be softer. I will do a separate post on this technique because it will take VERY long to explain.
  • Rosemary Oil, Castor Oil and Almond Oil was used to stimulate hair growth.
  • Egyptian women used a lot of Aromatic Oils for a clean hygiene. The most popular were frankincense and myrrh essential oils. These were their treasured scents and the most adored <3
  • The combination of Honey and Natron (or Baking Soda) was used as a facial scrub.
  • Coconut Oil, Shea Butter or Cocoa Butter was used as hair gels and to hold their hairstyles in place.
  • This was the most surprising secret I found. Cleopatra used crocodile's dung and Donkey's milk together as a Body Wash. Well no one is really going to adapt this tip nowadays but I just thought to put it down because I think its pretty strange.
  • Henna was popular to give their nails and hair a tinted colour of yellow-red tones.
  • They made eye liner out of galena and lead sulfide. The spice saffron was used as an eyeshadow. Burnt almonds were used to darken eyebrows. And Red Ochre was used to color lips.

Ancient Ayurvedic (Indian) Beauty Secrets

India has all types of people living in all kinds of places from a dusty dessert to tropical forests. And the secrets I am going to share with you all are coming from the era when princesses used to bathe in milk. So that is about 3000 years ago I am guessing.

Who doesn't wish to look beautiful. And so mothers have passed on their beauty secrets to their daughters to make them look like princesses.
Indian women mostly focus on their skin complexions, body shape and hair care.
We love to make our hair smell good, keep our skin fair and build curves in our body.
It is said that ancient Indian women were far more beautiful than they are today. It was because they didn't use any cosmetics.
Read more to find out those ancient secrets...

1)     If you are in a journey of losing weight, you might want to try adding spice in your diet e.g. chillies. But don't go overboard. Chillies speeds up your metabolism and believe it or not, even models add chillies in their diet to maintain their weight.

2)     To get rid of wrinkles, mash up a few slices of banana and apply it as a face mask. This is recommended for mature, dry skin.

3)     To tone and even out the skin complexion, make a paste of chick pea flour, turmeric and milk. Add the ingredients until it has consistency like any other face masks. Apply this paste all over your body and massage it in. Wash it out after 10-15 mins.

4)     Use cold water as a toner. It closes the pores, improves blood circulation and cell stimulation.

5)     For acne prone skin, mix some onion juice and honey in equal ratio. Apply it as a face mask and wash it after 10-15 mins.

6)     Another face mask for acne prone skin uses sandalwood and turmeric powder mixed with yoghurt. This mask has anti-septic properties. It makes your skin smooth, soft, acne-free and even toned. Mix the ingredients until your desired consistency forms and apply it. Wash it after 10-15 mins.

7)     Ancient Indian women used Kajal (homemade natural eyeliner). It was made from castor oil, coconut oil, almond oil and black mustard seeds. This made your eyes brighter/whiter, it improved vision and stimulates the growth of eye lashes

8)    The main ingredients used for hair care were Amla, Shikakai, Coconut Oil and Henna. There are actually thousands of herbs that were used for hair care but these are the main ones. And I always use coconut oil. I can swear by it. It really does help my hair grow really fast.

9)     Ayurveda advises that do not put anything on your skin that you cannot eat. All their face masks are actually edible. Even if I use these natural stuff, I put make up on my skin like foundation. I wonder what it does to my skin :( I will try to use them less often now.

10)   Many people think that being beautiful will make us happy but it is really the other way around. You will be beautiful when you are happy from the inside. Try to walk past a crowd of people with a frown on your face or a beautiful smile and you will notice the difference.

The secret my Mum passed on to Me:

It is a face mask. My skin was really bad back then and so she advised me to apply this face mask which actually changed my skin A LOT.
It was Honey and Cinnamon mask. For more details on this click HERE.

I truly want to stop using cosmetics and embrace these ancient secrets. And to be honest, the one that I have already embraced have worked WAY better than anything else. For example coconut oil for my hair, honey and cinnamon for skin and certain diets for body. I will try my best to adapt a Natural Healthy Lifestyle.

Are you willing to do that? Can you give up the cosmetics and embrace Natural ingredients that work like magic? I will certainly try my best :)

Take Care.
